Welcome to the Harvard Club of Quincy!

The Harvard Club of Quincy is a group of Harvard alumni, affiliates, and current students residing in the towns of Quincy, Milton, Braintree, and Weymouth.  We are an eclectic group of people from all walks of life sharing one common bond – our association with Harvard University.

Over the years, membership has ebbed and flowed from our club but today, with the advent of social media, we are growing in numbers and importance.

The club hosts several social outings during the course of the year.  Usually once a quarter, we gather at a local establishment and review current events and discuss upcoming activities.  In the past we have hosted Harvard-Yale Game tailgate parties and “Meet the upcoming class” of Harvard students from our club area.  We will be partnering with other area clubs for activities and field trips in the near future.   Make sure to visit the website often and peruse our events calendar.

The Harvard Club of Quincy is more than just a social club. Our primary purpose is to provide support to the admissions office by interviewing candidates from the club area.  Harvard University receives nearly 40,000 applications each year.  These applications, though impressive, only tell part of the story.  A personal interview goes a long way in developing the full picture of the applicant.  Obviously, the admissions office does not have the time or capacity to interview every applicant and that’s where the area Harvard Clubs come in. Each year, over 60 seniors apply to Harvard from the club area of Quincy, Milton, Braintree, and Weymouth.  Members of the club meet the prospective candidates and interview them on behalf of the admissions office.  It is an enjoyable, if not humbly, experience for club members as we get to meet the best and the brightest of the next generation.
